For those clients who require ballistics verification of a design, Arrowhead offers gunfire testing in both .50 caliber and .30 caliber. Each test is performed to the exact requirements of the appropriate specification. These may include a requirement for the projectile to be tumbled, or fired in a straight trajectory to the target.

Prior to testing, all samples are inspected, filled and verified as ready for test. Care is taken to verify gas pressures, ambient temperature and other atmospheric conditions. Strict control of ammunition lots and condition of rounds are recorded and documented. Velocities of projectiles in ammunition lots are verified by the use of a chronograph. At periodic intervals, random checks of ammunition are made to assure the accuracy of rounds. All ammunition is tested and certified before use in a test.

Performance and design qualification tests are conducted to stringent military and federal standards such as RR-C-901, MIL-STD-7905 and MIL-STD-810.

Both video and photographic verification of testing is standard as well as certified reports of findings.
